Different types of Uterus Fibroids

Uterus Fibroids is a type of tumor mainly seen in the female community after the child-bearing age. It is normally found in active in many patients without the knowledge of the bearer. The complications or symptoms caused by fibroids vary due to its growth and location. Certain types of fibroids lead to a certain type of difficulties. There are many cases where patients failed to identify the ailment. Prolonging this kind of tumor can only make the condition develop into a more risky phase.

The usually seen types of fibroids are known as Intramural fibroids. These types of fibroids grow within the wall of the uterus. They do not show any kind of symptoms until they become large in shape. Intramural fibroids first begin in form of lumps in the interior of uterus wall. As they grow, they seem to develop inwards which may cause urine retention and difficulties.

Another type of fibroids is known as subserosal fibroids. They develop underneath the mucosal layer. These types of fibroids tend to become very large in size. They have the tendency of detaching from the uterus. Subserosal fibroids usually become parasitic object of the uterus.

Fibroids treatment becomes an urgent call if anyone develops submucosal fibroids. These types of fibroids grow underneath endometrium of the uterus. Expansion of submucosal fibroids slowly disfigures the urine cavity. This condition becomes very critical and a slight abrasion around this portion leads to loss of blood. This condition is mainly responsible for the cause of infertility.


Fibroids normally occur in multiple locations. Cervical fibroids are seen the neck of the uterus. Some fibroids seem to grow on the outside of the uterus and some grow towards internal cavity. Depending on the condition fibroid removal is done. This is an act which requires precision and proper understanding.
